From ashes to Athens: Brian van de Graaff explores the rebirth of Philotimo, a taste of Greece in DC

WASHINGTON (7News) — Our very own Brian van de Graaff visits Philotimo, a Greek restaurant, and speaks with Nicholas Stefanelli, Michelin-starred chef, and Sotiris Bafitis, General Manager and Wine Director, to learn about their menus and talk about their reopening.
Philotimo first opened in January 2022, unfortunately in June of 2022 Philotimo suffered a fire which led to a year of rebuilding. However, Philotimo just reopened on November 1st, 2023!
Philotimo offers a wide range of flavors of Greece and its regional delicacies. The menu highlights Stefanelli’s in-depth research and extensive travels throughout his familial homeland and is foremost an exploration of the country’s valued traditions.
